Life is like opening a new book for the first time.  Once you turn a few pages, get past the introductory material, you will find yourself at chapter one.  The story always begins with the first word, in the first paragraph.  

Last year, we all closed out another chapter in the saga of our lives.  This month, we find ourselves turning the page to the next chapter in life's adventure.  The story is unfolding.  It is chalk full of endless possibilities.  No one knows for certain where the adventure will lead us.  

All of us are at different places in the book of life.  Some are just beginning to live. Others have been living for a few seasons.  Some are in the twilight years of life. Wherever you are, in order to negotiate life victoriously, you must answer a few questions.

Who am I living for?  What do I want to accomplish?  Who will I offer my life to in the service of living?  For Christians, in order to honor God with our lives this year, we must remember one thing.  Life is worship.  Worship is life.  Everything we do is an act of worship.  Everything.  If you are like me, I struggle to remember this.

In Genesis 2:15, the Bible tells Christians their ministry purpose in life.  First, worship God.  Second, obey God.  Third, whatever you do, you are to do it for God's glory    (1 Corinthians 10:31).  These points summarize our biblical purpose in living.  Will you fulfill your God-given purpose?  The journey begins anew today.  Your first thought will lead to your first action, as your life's story continues to be written.

Remember, God has granted you the power to choose.  Remember, this axiom:  "You are one decision away from being stupid."  Choose well.  Live for Jesus. Get ready.  God is about to turn another page in your life.
