CEC Director The Child Enrichment Center at Kathleen Baptist Church has been serving families through our educational program since 1987. Our purpose is to provide excellent educational experiences with the support of Christian principles and training.

We seek to provide young children with a developmentally appropriate program packed with academics and filled with scriptural principles to teach and train our youngsters to depend on God for EVERYTHING in their lives.

We offer full and part time preschool programs as well as after school care for students kindergarten through the fifth grade. We have four preschool classrooms for children two years through pre-kindergarten, Monday through Friday. Our vans pick up students from several schools in our area.

In our Preschool program, we plan activities in both large and small learning situations that emphasize individual learning and growth. Activities include art, math, language, and dramatic play, with many activity centers and directed play stations.

The curriculum is organized by a weekly theme that is taught in all four classrooms. The children also participate in a Bible focused lesson weekly, and learn a corresponding Bible verse using American Sign Language. All of our teachers are certified with a Child Development Associate Degree.

Our After School program offers quality Christian care until 6:00 Monday through Friday for Elementary children. We provide a snack and homework time, as well as activities, games, and Bible devotions with prayer time. We also provide care for students during school holidays and a Day Camp in the summer.
